Installation and Removal of Scarecrow:
Entrants are responsible for bringing and installing their fully assembled scarecrows to Lombardi Ranch on Friday, October 1 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, October 2, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. or on Sunday, October 3, from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. A Lombardi Ranch employee will direct you to your display site. Actual installation must be done solely by entrant(s). A post will be available to affix scarecrow. Please provide your own fastenings. Any defacement of Lombardi Ranch property will result in disqualification. ALL SCARECROWS MUST REMAIN ON DISPLAY UNTIL OCTOBER 31 AT 2:00 P.M. Any entries left after November 7, will become property of Lombardi Ranch.

Specifications:
Size: Scarecrow must fit into an 8'x8' area and not exceed 10' in height.
Materials: Because your entry will remain outdoors for the entire month of October, no perishable goods (for example real vegetables such as pumpkins) will be permitted. Ornamentation should be firmly attached and as weatherproofed as possible. Hint: Latex products such as rubber masks and gloves disintegrate in the sun, and any paper mache should be waterproofed. Lombardi Ranch reserves the right to remove any entries that have deteriorated significantly.
Animated Scarecrows: No electricity will be provided for moving parts. ONLY solar or wind power may be used.

Restrictions:
Only one entry per group or individual will be accepted. No advertising, religious or political statements or obscene or distasteful entries will be permitted. Please keep in mind that small children will be viewing these. No identifying marks such as group name or number may be attached until after judging.
Youth Entries: Adult supervision with design, cutting, and nailing is permitted, but all entries must be assembled and installed by the children. YOU ARE ON YOUR HONOR!
